CAMPSITE OTUR BEACH.

Our campsite is located in Luarca. It is 600m away from Otur Beach and 300m away from main road N-634, and 100km away from Oviedo, 90km away from Gijón and 64km away from Avilés. Otur has train (FEVE) and bus connections (ALSA). The

Northern Route of Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) can be found 300m away from our campsite.
It is also near to Barayo Beach, a naturist beach and partial Nature Reserve which is of great interest for bird-watching as it is a stop for migratory wildfowl.
It is also a place of geological interest due to its quartz materials that date back to the Paleozoic Era.
You can also find deposits from the Lower Paleolithic which could date back to 50,000 BC.
This area is of particular mycological interest.

Flora and fauna diversity: oak trees, chestnut trees, birches, yew trees, holly trees, mycological species… and otters, cormorants, salamanders, newts, toads, Bedriaga’s skinks and endangered species.

2nd Class tourism establishment, with 80 camping pitches, 69 of them with parking space, and 32 with electricity hook ups.

Reception and bar are fully accessible to the disabled.
Showers and toilets have free hot water. We also have washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a fully accessible toilet and shower for the disabled.

We have an all-purpose hall of around 38m2 for group activities.

Free internet (wifi) access is available in a wide area around the café bar.

11 bungalows,with porch, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, one double bedroom and one bedroom with a bunk bed and an extra bed (maximum 5 people). Extra bungalows are 3.5m2 bigger than a standard bungalow. They have a fridge, heating and hot water. Kitchenware and bed linen are provided, but please note that towels are NOT provided and that there is not TV. Pets are not allowed inside the bungalows, but they are allowed in the campsite.

We have experience in catering for groups.

The reception is open until 23:30h. Among 0:00h and 8:00h silence will be saved.

Location and surroundings.

The campsite is located in the West of Asturias, in the Council of Valdés, to be precise in the village of Otur, 6 km away from Luarca (known as La Villa Blanca or The White Town). It is 600 m away from Otur Beach and 300 m away from the main road. Oviedo, capital of Asturias, and Gijón, are 100 km and 90 km away. The northern Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) runs 300 m away from this campsite.
Otur Beach is excellent, has direct access by car and all facilities during the holiday season, and is apt for nautical sports.
Barayo Beach (a naturist beach and Partial Nature Reserve) and Sabugo Beach are also nearby.
Luarca, the capital town of the council, is known for its port, its lighthouse, its neighbourhoods, its cemetery and its delicious fishes.
Just a few kilometres away you can find beautiful towns like Puerto de Vega, Navia, Coaña, Cudillero, Boal, etc.; amazing natural scenarios like Hoces del Río Esva (high gorges of river Esva), Comarca Vaqueira, River Eo, Mancomunidad de los Oscos, Taramundi, Playa de las Catedrales (Beach) or Tapia de Casariego. And cities worth a visit like Avilés, Oviedo and Gijón.

Activities around

Rambling, horseback riding tours, quad racing routes, fishing, swimming, diving, canoe routes, surf, golf, white water canoeing, canyoning, bouldering techniques… This area is particularly adequate for mushroom hunting.
